Adobo Mix (Savoury Sauce Mix)

A savoury garlic and spice flavoured sauce mix, perfect for many dishes and bases. It is traditionally used as a base for Filipino Adobo.

Recipe:
Adobo [makes 8 servings]

You will need:
1 x adobo mix dissolved in 250ml water, 1kg chicken cut into serving pieces, 50g garlic crushed, 30ml cooking oil.

1] in saucepan combine chicken, half of the garlic, adobo mix and water - cover and cook over high heat.
2] when mixture starts to boil, lower the heat and simmer until chicken is tender and cooked through - seperate the chicken pieces from the sauce
3] heat oil in wok and saute garlic until golden then add chicken and stirfry - pour in sauce and cook for another 5 mins or until thick.

Ingredients: garlic, cane sugar, iodised salt [salt, iodine], flavour enhancer e621, citric acid, colour: caramel, spices [black and white pepper].
