Annatto Powder (Achuete) (Achiote)

Annatto seeds are reddish coloured seeds from the Achiote Tree. This is also known as Achuete or Achiote.
Extracted from the powdery coating of annatto seeds, this will impart a mildly sweet, nutty flavour and an appetizing orangy-reddish colour to a variety of dishes.
Instructions: dissolve 1 tsp in 1 tbsp water before adding to your cooking.
Ingredients: extract of annatto seeds, cornstarch.
when i first shopped with the Asian Cookshop a year ago, 2013, they asked if I had found everything I required. I left a note saying , NO! Achiote (annatto) powder, as I could not buy it anywhere. The very next time I shopped Feb 2014, there it was! Thanks Asian Cookshop, it's worth asking the question
