Green Cardamoms are also known as Green Elaichi or Chotti Elaichi. These Cardamom Pods are strong, aromatic and used in both sweet and savoury dishes. They are either used whole, crushed [to release the inner seeds] or used ground [the inner seeds are ground to a powder]. One of the most popular and common indian spices, there is also a black cardamom which offers a different flavour to green.
