Popular Spice mix for Chicken Curry (Chicken in spicy yoghurt curry)
Recipe: Shahi chicken curry - Ingredients required: chicken 1kg, onions 300g, plain yoghurt 300g, garlic paste half tbsp, ginger 10g, ghee/oil 175g, shan chicken curry mix one packet.
Method: 1] in a small deep pan add ghee and heat, add onions and saute until onions are transparent. Stir frequently. Reduce heat and fry until onions light golden. Remove from heat and drain ghee. Spread the onions on absorbant paper. Allow it to cool and when crisp crush it coarsely. 2] in the same ghee and garlic paste, and fry for few secs, stir in meat, yoghurt, ginger, and shan chicken curry mix. Cover and cook on low heat until meat tender, if desired add 1-2 cup water. 3] add crushed fried onions, and stir, cover and cook on low heat for 5 mins or until ghee seperates from gravy.
