Shan Chana Masala [mix for punjabi style mild chickpeas curry]
Recipe: Chana masala - Ingredients required: chickpeas 250g soaked 2/3 hours, onion 100g, ghee/butter/oil 175g, shan chana mix one packet.
Method: Drain water from soaked chickpeas and add 5 glass water, boil for 2-3 hours on low heat. 2] add shan mix, cook on low heat for about 45 mins till chickpeas darken. 3] heat ghee/butter/oil and fry the onions for 5 mins, add boiled chickpeas and stirfry for 5-10mins, until gravy thickens and ghee/butter/oil seperates from the chana.
Ingredients: salt, sodium bicarbonate, sugar, cumin, black pepper, sodium acid pyrophosphate, red chilli, clove, brown cardamom, cinnamon, green cardamom, garlic, mace, nutmeg, ginger.
