Indonesian Nasi Goreng [Sambal Fried Rice]

A staple of Indonesian cuisine, the nasi goreng brings a delightful blend of tamarind, dried shrimp and chilli flavours to stirfried rice.
Recipe: serves 4;
- 1 packet paste
- 2-3 tbsp veg oil
- 250g shelled prawns
- 2 eggs beaten
- 600g cooked rice
- 2 tomatoes cut
- chopped coriander
- heat oil in non stick wok on medium heat, add prawns and stirfry for 2-3 mins.
- push the prawns to one side and add egg and cook for 1 min, then add rice and spice paste, stirfry for 3 mins.
- add tomatoes and stirfry for 1 min or until hot, garnish.
Ingredients: tomato paste, shallots, soybean oil, salt, soy sauce [water, sugar, soybean, salt, wheat flour], tamarind, garlic, dried shrimp, sugar, red chilli, shrimp paste [shrimp, salt].
